San Pascual Velas is a family owned business dedicated to the art of making beeswax candles. Working in a sustainable way with beekeepers from the region, the candles are carefully hand poured into different shapes and forms creating a variety of beautifully decorated ‘velas’.

The ‘velas de concha’ are the region’s specialty. Hand-poured tapers that can be up to 5 feet high are elaborated with various floral forms that have been individually shaped and dyed by hand.

They are most commonly used for patron saint festivals, or engagements and weddings. A groom’s family will commission them to be presented to his bride’s family as a symbolic guiding light for the new life they will be creating together.
