Dolores Porras 1937 ~ 2010

Making pottery since the age of 14, Maestra Dolores masterfully hand built her unique vessels and muñecas in her family studio. Dolores and her husband Alfredo Regino Ramírez are the pioneers of two step firing in Santa María Atzompa, setting forth the exploration of layers of colors onto pottery surfaces. Her pieces are now rare to come by and highly collectible.
